Topic: Thinking vs. Emotionalizing, Rationalizing, and Other Mental Wheel-Spinning
Thinking is a purposeful process of asking and answering questions, to identify something new. It is not just words going through your mind. If you are having difficulty clarifying goals, solving problems, or making decisions, perhaps what you're doing is not thinking.
In this class, we will discuss how thinking is different from many mental processes that amount to spinning your mental wheels. By seeing what it is, and what it isn't, you can keep your thinking productive. We will do an in=class exercise to apply the lesson.
